Purpose: With recent technologic advances especially in cryobiology, not to do fresh transfer, namely ‘’Freeze All’’ strategy is being widely accepted to save these patients while keeping their high pregnancy chances. In this retrospective study we aimed to see if there is any difference among the ‘’Freeze All’’ cycles of PCOS patients undergoing IVF if we give any medication to suppress the hyper stimulated ovaries prior to the thaw ET compared to the ones when we start immediately after.
Materials and Methods: All the ‘’Freeze All’ cycles between July 2015 and June 2019 were analyzed in a single IVF center retrospectively. We grouped cycles into two: Group I consisted of cycles in which E+P pill (Cycloprogynova) was given prior to the thaw ET whereas in Group II the thaw ET protocol was started without giving any break.
Results: In Group I there were 52 cycles whereas in Group II there were 33 cycles. All the patient and cycle characteristics were same among the groups. Also the pregnancy outcome was similar between both groups.
Conclusion: Clinicians can safely start the thaw ET program once the patients see their period without giving any medication in between. Surely this is a big advantage for both patients and busy IVF programs saving time and cost.
